Wisdom tooth extraction experience

Hi all!

Its been 7 months since i last posted in this blog. So many things happened through the 7 months...

Anyways recently, i had my wisdom tooth extraction in June. I had my braces on as well while having the surgery. To be honest, the healing process was a horrible experience! Well, blame it on me for not taking any pain killers after my extraction... Yes, i have high tolerance for pain. Nonetheless, the process of extracting the tooth wasn't as painful, although there were pressure here and there while the dentist tried to extract my tooth.

So on the day of the appointment i had an X-ray for my tooth before the actual surgery to see if my wisdom tooth are ready for extraction. I had to have all my wisdom tooth extracted because my mouth is too small to hold all my tooth haha. Initially before the X-ray, my dentist examined my tooth and said that he was not sure if my top wisdom tooth can be extracted. He even suggested extracting them on another day. I was relieved at first because the pain would not be as great if my bottom wisdom tooth are extracted only. But after the X-ray, my dentist confirmed that i could extract all my wisdom tooth. I was like "Omg, no..." But i was already prepared for this day to freaking get it over and done with my surgery! So i confidently agreed to extract ALL my wisdom tooth. The dentist felt that i was really brave to do so. I really don't give a shit as to how painful the procedure is, or how uncomfortable the healing process is. All i know is that i NEVER want another scheduled surgery!

So during the surgery, it was kind of scary at first, but i tried to not think about how my tooth is extracted. I tried to focus on something else like thinking about my favourite Kpop band (BEAST!) etc. Distracting myself was actually a great way to not feel scared about the whole procedure! Well, at least for me haha. I had local anesthesia, which meant only a small part of the body is numb (My mouth that is). Some of my friends opted for general anesthesia. According to them, it literally puts you to sleep, and it gives you an illusion that the whole procedure was very fast because you just knock yourselves to sleep, and then the next moment you wake up, like a snap of a finger haha. There was once when the dentist tried to pull one of my wisdom teeth (The bottom right haha), i could literally feel the teeth coming out, but with no pain. The pressure made it uncomfortable for me, and i could feel the exhaustion from opening my mouth (I have no idea why...). I started to wine abit, and the dentist was like "Its coming out, its coming out...". The nurse also repeated what the dentist said just to calm me down. Suddenly, i heard a really REALLY loud crack. I was like "Dude did you just break my teeth?!" But of course not saying it out, i just stared at the dentist haha. The top wisdom tooth were much more easier to extract and there was really very minimal pressure when extracting them. It took so fast to extract the top wisdom tooth that i did not realize the dentist was actually extracting them out! The whole surgery was only 45 minutes long. I was looking at the clock on the wall the whole time throughout the surgery. I estimated it took about 10 minutes each to pull the bottom, and... 3 minutes for the top? I can't remember...

After the whole surgery, i felt extremely weak and tired. Maybe due to the lose of blood or exhaustion while extracting my wisdom tooth. My hands were really cold and my dentist was like holding my hand and saying "Wow, you are so brave huh? Your hands are cold, should get a little rest, don't walk to much first" I nodded my head while my eyes were literally half open, lol! I slowly walked out of the surgery room towards a nearby seat to get some rest. My mother was so worried and she was shocked that my hands were so cold.

The extraction process was not that bad. The worst was the healing process. When i got home after the surgery, my mouth was extremely numb i could not feel anything. I could not eat anything, and end up i did not eat dinner that day, but i was lucky to not feel hungry. I could not even drink water properly because my tongue could not feel anything. I had to drink water from a bottle that has a small opening. I was clever enough not to use a straw because sucking the water might cause bleeding of my gum. I felt like a baby trying to eat... There were times when i almost choked because i poured too much water into my mouth without knowing how much water is in my mouth! As for the bleeding process, it took my at least 7 hours to stop the bleeding! I had to constantly change my gauze every hour. I had to be careful not to bend my body to much or make vigorous movements to my body because i might start bleeding from my mouth. I had to drink water sometimes to get ride of the bleeding because I hate it when I see my gums filled with blood, ewww!

The numbing also lasted for 6 hours. That was when the pain really got into me. Luckily the bleeding also stop around the same timing as when the numbing stops, if not i had to continue biting the gauze while feeling the pain in my gum! The pain was so bad that i could not sleep for 2 consecutive nights! While sleeping, i had to prompt my head high so that there is no bleeding while lying down to sleep. I could not turn to sleep on my sides which i am used to, this made it even harder for me to sleep.

The next day after my surgery, the pain subsided, but there was still pain in my gum. My face swelled too, making me look kinda square-ish and fat. I had to eat using a small spoon because it was hard for me to open my mouth wide. I felt like a baby once again lol! I continued to take antibiotics prescribed by the nurse until i finish them. Each day i took 3 pills after every meal. I did not take any pain killers because i did not want any more chemicals in my body. My parents also felt that painkillers are not good but seeing me in pain, they tried to tell me to take painkillers if i could not bare with it. Well, i insisted on not taking just to challenge myself too, lol! At night, i did not bother brushing my teeth. I just rinse my mouth using a medication (Not sure if it is a medication) prescribed by the nurse to help me clean my teeth, but as of the third day onward, i tried to brush only my front tooth.

The healing process lasted for one week. The swelling lasted for maybe 3 to 4 days, and the pain was only bad in the first 2nd  to 3rd day of recovery, it gets better everyday,  The healing process was faster than i expected, thank god for the antibiotics which helped to speed up the recovery! I survived the whole week with only... ONLY Porridge, nothing else. It was actually good because i lost 3 kg in that one week, haha! I'm not someone who is particular about food, so surviving the same meal everyday for one week was okay for me.

After that one week of 'strict' diet, i came back to the dentist to remove my stitch. When i opened my mouth, my dentist was surprised and asked "Oh, is this the maximum you can go?" (He meant that my mouth did not opened as widely as he expected) . It was then that i realized i still need time to fully recover. The dentist told me that i don't actually have to come to the dentist to remove my stitch because they can be removed by themselves ultimately. After removing my stitch, i immediately bought a bun to fulfill my cravings for sweet stuff, haha! I felt as if it was the best food in the world at that time, lol! I could finally eat 'real' food. But the problem is, food tend to get stuck in my wound (or maybe it is just a hole). It's not painful, but it could get irritating at times because i had to rinse to get rid of the food stuck in the hole... Getting food stuck in my braces is troublesome enough for me!

Anyways, 2 months had passed and i finally feel 'normal' again, as in i could open my mouth wide, eat whatever i want without having food stuck in any hole whatsoever. I'm so SO Happy that i finally had my wisdom tooth extraction! In total, i had 8 tooth extracted, 4 wisdom tooth, and another 4 tooth near the front so as to do my braces (2 dental surgery in total). I had also posted about extracting the other tooth, but compared to that, wisdom tooth extraction is far worst because of the pain if you do not have any painkillers. Now i just need to wait for my braces to be removed soon, SOON!

I hope that this post can help to clarify any doubts regarding wisdom tooth extraction! I'm not a dentist or a surgeon, I'm just a patient who had experienced wisdom tooth extraction. Feel free to leave a comment if you are still in doubt about the experience in wisdom tooth extraction.

And for those who are going through the surgery, Good Luck! Enjoy the process! Its only once (Or maybe twice) in a life time! You will feel a sense of achievement after that!

Drawing Yang Yoseob from Beast

Hi all!

Its the new year~! Finally it is 2015!
My first drawing for 2015! XD
Sketching Yang Yoseob from Beast!
Here is a sketch of Yoseob from beast! Initially, i wanted to use color pencils to complete the shading like how i usually did for my other sketches, but i soon realized that i wanted to use pencil instead to shade.

I had never done shading using pencil before... This was my first time and i only realized it while shading the drawing lol. I had difficulty at first trying to get the right shade at the right spot, and for the lighter parts of the shading, i realized i could not use my pencil to shade, i had to resort to using my own hands to help me 'shade' the lighter part. I thought it was the only effective way to get the right shade for the lighter parts, haha! My hands became so dirty after sketching hahaha!

I initially wanted to sketch Dong Woon, but i suddenly had the inspiration to draw Yoseob instead, hahaha!

By the way, currently i'm really dying to buy Beast latest album, but the problem is it was all sold out in POPULAR near my area... *Cries*... *Sigh* i guess i have to wait and constantly look out for Beast Album... I really hope to get one!!!!!!!

Anyway, school is starting soon, i only have 1 more day left before school! Can't wait to get back to school thought, but i will miss drawing *Cries*

Siloso Beach Outing~!

Hi all!

Yesterday i had a great time with my secondary school friends! Its been almost 2 years since i last saw them and hang out with them!

We went to Siloso beach Sentosa and played volley ball. Tbc, i'm not even close to being a rookie at playing volleyball. I really suck at it haha! But still, it was great to play and the weather was perfect. It wasn't even warm, rather it was really cool and there was not much sun (because it just rained) The sky was dark but i still like it, haha!

Here is a group image of us in the beach after playing volleyball~

Too bad i had to leave earlier than the rest because i had a curfew at 6pm (*Sobs* I'm was carrying my bag in the photo ready to leave after the photo taking*Cries*) But still, it was a great time spent with them :)

2 more days to new year~ I hope that 2015 will be a better and more exciting year~ 2014 had been a great year for me and i learnt and gain so much meaningful experiences, especially in polytechnic~ :)

Drawing Lee Gi kwang from B2ST

Hey all!

Yesterday was Christmas, but i was busy doing my studies and i did not celebrate Christmas haha... My family do not have the tradition of celebrating Christmas..

Anyways, here is another drawing i did during Christmas.

Apologise if i have not drawn Gikwang Oppa well... *Sobs...*
Lee Gikwang from B2ST
This time, i chose to draw Lee Gikwang from B2ST. I chose not to do a video drawing because i think i needed to focus on how to do a proper sketching before filming my drawing process, and ya i wasn't confident in videoing my drawing, haha!

Process of drawing Lee Gikwang
So ya, i took 15 minutes for the sketching (Top left panel) and the rest of the time shading... My friend said that the eyes don't look alike *Sobs* I'll continue to improve further on my drawing and shading!

So i actually used my phone to take reference in sketching Gikwang~ I was afraid that my phone might run out of battery quickly if i keep switching it on! Plus i was playing songs using my phone! I like listening to songs while drawing!

Nope this is not a white colour pencil... Its black! I used up almost all of it... I wonder if i can just buy the black colour pencil without buying the whole box of colour pencils, haha! For most of my sketching, i love using black colour pencil! :)

I found the image of Gikwang from an instagram post. I thought it would be a great start to self - learn sketching since the image is black and white. I chose to draw Lee Gikwang because... I guess i was inspired to draw his good looks? Haha...

It took me about 1hr 30mins to complete the drawing. I think there is still more to improve *Sobs*

My next drawing shall be Dong Woon from B2ST (Again). i found a black and white photo of Dong Woon from Instagram, haha! I will try harder for my next drawing before school starts! There is still a long LONG way to improve!!

Happy Holidays everyone!

Drawing Son Dong Woon from B2ST

Hi all!

Here is another drawing video i just created! :)
I was once again inspiration from the kpop music video 12시 30분 by B2ST!
This time i tried drawing Son Dong Woon from B2ST... Well... I did not dare upload it on YouTube or into my Facebook because i feel that the standard is really not there yet and i still have alot to improve on...

Song: B2ST 12시 30분 - Cover by Gayoon
Actual timing: 1 hour (I should really improve on my timing...)
Illustrated by: By yours truly

P.s. To fans of Doon Woon Oppa (And also to Dong Woon.... ), I am so sorry for not drawing the picture well enough *Sobs* I will try my best again the next round!!

I felt kind of demoralized drawing actual people in anime version (Not entirely real - that is impossible for me hahaha!) because i am not familiar with all the features and shadings and everything that makes it looks perfect. But i guess i will continue practicing drawing before my next school term starts! Once my school starts again, i will never have another chance of drawing! *Cries*

Drawing Yang Yoseob from B2ST

Hi all! My projects and tests are finally over! I am sooo Happy! :)

Anyways recently since September, I have been listening to Kpop songs, which was really a change for me because i have only listen to Jpop for like over 5 years already (Haha!) and currently, i only listen to kpop, to be more specific, mainly B2ST songs, lol! I'm not exactly i fan of the kpop culture...

I really like their songs and the members in B2ST are so good looking! I started knowing B2ST a long time ago actually (Maybe since they debuted?) from my cousin, who was a fan of them at that time. But i was into Jpop not Kpop. Now, i guess i can say i am a fan of them because i always ALWAYS listen to their songs, its like an addiction you know? Its hard to change my favorite artiest for music once i like their songs! In the past i love YUI alot and i was so into her songs. Now i change my taste for music and i switch to kpop, hahaha!

I especially love their new songs "12시 30분" and "キミはどう?" (Kimi wa dou?) (Haha, i still listen to Japanses lol)

Anyways, here is my first attempt to draw a Kpop celebrity *Cries* (P.s. Its suppose to be in Anime version) I'm so so so sorry fans of Yoseob (And also Yoseob...) for the drawing that is not well done... *Sobs* D: There is sooo much more to improve, especially the eyes...*Sighs* I will definitely IMPROVE for my next drawing!

The inspiration comes from the music video 12시 30분 by B2ST,
Song:12시 30분 by B2ST
Actual time for drawing: 45 mins
Illustrated by: By yours truly

My favorite member is Yang Yoseob :) But to be honest, i can't decide between Yoseob and Hyunseung (Hahaha!) I mean Yoseob is sooo good at singing and he looks so handsome! (Thats one of the reason for choosing to draw him hahaha!) And for Hyunseung he is also so talented in dancing i can't stop looking at him in music video when he dances... I think i will just like everyone in B2ST and not have what they call Bias list (Yes, kpop fans has "Bias list"... I find that funny for some reason...)

Cutting my Hair...

I have no preference for hair style actually. Basically, i'm not extremely particular about my hair. I just like my hair to be straight with a fringe...

But i MIND the person cutting my fringe! I'm freaking particular about who is going to cut my hair! Haha, ironic right?

So i went all the way to Chinatown (I live in the west) just to get a hair cut. I knew this hair cut shop which is really good with hairs. It is not exactly an 'Atas' kind of shop, but the person who manages customer's hair (What do you call them...?) is really diligent in her work, which i really admire most. She reborned my hair once and trimmed my fringe, i LOVE it alot!

I don't really rmb the shop name thought haha... But i don't mind travelling all the way to Chinatown just for a hair cut!

This is what happens when you never cut your hair for nearly 2 years...
